The Motus Way:

Integrated Massage

‍At Motus Clinic, our bodywork goes far beyond basic, feel-good relaxation. We provide target-driven clinical massage, advanced deep tissue manipulation, and high-impact sports massage in San Francisco. Operating at the vital intersection of medical rehab and fitness training, our therapies are specifically engineered for athletic injury recovery, chronic pain relief, and performance tracking. Rather than chasing temporary relief, our licensed therapists analyze your posture, mechanics, and movement patterns to resolve the root causes of physical limitations.

We seamlessly adapt our approach during every session based on what your body needs in the moment. Whether you're managing chronic tension, recovering from injury, or maintaining performance, our therapists understand how manual therapy fits into your complete picture. We draw from a comprehensive toolkit—including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, craniosacral therapy, trauma-informed care, and instrument-assisted techniques like Graston and cupping—to support your specific goals.

Every session begins with understanding where you are in your journey and we ensure your manual therapy always align. Over time, consistent bodywork reveals patterns, helps build physical awareness, and delivers the long-term, sustainable outcomes you need to stay in the game.

Aaron Robitsch LMT, NASM-CPT

Licensed Clinical Massage Therapist, Certified Personal Trainer, Martial Arts + Thai Chi Instructor, & Sports Injury Specialist

Aaron Robitsch, CMT, NASM-CPT, operates at the vital intersection of kinesiology, strength conditioning, and clinical massage therapy in San Francisco. Specializing in high-impact sports massage, advanced deep tissue work, and targeted injury support, Aaron is dedicated to treating the root causes of movement limitations and chronic pain.

Aaron’s fascination with body mechanics began at age 10 when he started training in martial arts. Over two decades of disciplined practice, teaching, and earning certifications in Tai Chi, he discovered the vital role optimal mechanics play in creating efficient, injury-resistant movement. To bridge this passion with formal science, Aaron completed studies in Kinesiology at San Francisco State University (SFSU) and graduated from the National Holistic Institute (NHI) with specialized training in neuromuscular therapy. Simultaneously, he earned his Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) credential through the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM).

At Motus Clinic, Aaron blends his deep understanding of martial arts conditioning, exercise science, and therapeutic bodywork. His sessions provide targeted relief for complex neck, shoulder, and hip pain rather than just chasing temporary symptoms. By understanding how fascial restrictions limit performance and how compensation patterns develop from old injuries, he seamlessly integrates manual therapy with movement retraining. Every clinical session is fully aligned with your broader rehab or strength goals, ensuring you leave with actionable strategies to support lasting recovery.

In addition to chiropractic care, Motus offers fantastic massage. They have done a great job across the board with me -- while I've been injured, when I've needed serious deep tissue work, and when I've simply wanted to relax.

YOU will benefit you no matter what your current experience level is. Whether you're a total beginner who is living a sedentary lifestyle or an advanced practitioner in fantastic shape with the strength of an ox - these classes will challenge and improve your flexibility, strength, and balance. The Instruction increases your body awareness, you don't have to think about anything else but your breathing, and moving in the way they tell you to. The poses gradually become more difficult as the class progresses. I would 100% recommend Motus Rehab Clinic to anyone looking for classes.

Your Healthcare Shouldn't Include A Third Party

Insurance companies insert themselves between you and your provider, dictating treatment length, approved methods, and when your care ends. Your provider spends more time documenting for insurance requirements than focusing on your progress.

We chose a different path. Our partnership is directly with you, not insurance companies. This eliminates the administrative barriers and protocol constraints that interfere with your care. Instead of 15-minute appointments rushing through insurance-approved treatments, you get the time and attention your situation actually requires.

You receive transparent pricing with no surprise bills or coverage denials. While we don't bill insurance directly, if you have chiropractic or physical therapy coverage, you can submit for possible reimbursement. We accept Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), and Medical Reimbursement Account (MRA) funds. Note: Because our clinical and sports massage services focus on medical injury support and athletic performance, they are fully eligible for HSA, FSA, and corporate wellness stipend dollars.

The result? Care decisions made between you and your provider based on what you need, not what a third party will pay for. Finally, a healthcare relationship that puts your outcomes first.Insurance companies insert themselves between you and your provider, dictating treatment length, approved methods, and when your care ends. Your provider spends more time documenting for insurance requirements than focusing on your progress, forcing providers into volume-based models where quantity matters more than quality.

Pay as you go.

REGULAR – $195 (60 MIN.)

These are great for individuals who are new to Therapeutic Clinical Massage, or for someone who wants the focus of the work to be on one or two specific areas of concern.

EXTENDED – $230 (80 MIN.)

In most cases, 60 minutes is the tip of the iceberg when dealing with chronic stress and pain. Having more time ultimately gives the therapist the opportunity to reveal and heal deeper layers. This is a great option both for those new to massage as well as experienced patients.

ULTRA – $340 (120 MIN.)

This is recommended for those who have some consistent bodywork experience. Having this extra time allows the therapist to be supremely detailed, further enhancing your body's ability to recover from the physical ailments that are hindering its natural function.
